Lady Gaga poses at Berghain nightclub to promote her latest album 'Artpop' in Berlin October 24, 2013. The album will be released in Germany on November 8.

Lady Gaga is all set to be the first musician in the history to perform in space.

Gaga is going to achieve this unique feat in her career when she sings in a Virgin Galactic ship within a couple of years, sometime in 2015, according to US Weekly. The magazine reported that she will have to do vocal training for a month to suit her the specific spatial atmosphere. The event is going to be a never-seen-before experience for anyone. It will be something which the world has never seen before. Gaga's performance will be a part of Zero G Colony technology festival to be held in New Mexico.

It is going to be another cap added to the crown of the 'Applause' singer as Gaga, 27, will take part in the three-day long high tech festival to be held in Spaceport America, New Mexico. She reportedly will perform in the last day of the festival. According to sources, she has opted for a 'ridiculous' life insurance policy before she gives an 'out-of-the world' performance.

Lady Gaga is not the only celebrity who prefers to be a part of this unique space ride. A number of celebrities has already signed up for Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic ship. Over 500 people have applied for a $200,000 ticket for a space voyage of 2 hours and a half. They will experience weightlessness for six minutes in the space.

The list of celebrities who have signed up for the space trip include Justin Bieber, Ashton Kutcher and Stephen Hawking. Interestingly, Scooter Braun, Bieber's manager, also signed up for the trip. He was so excited that he tweeted that he was going to be a 'space momma.' While Kutcher became the 500th person to sign up for the trip, he received a personal note of 'thank you' from Branson.

Hawking received an honorary free ticket for the trip which will fulfil his dream of traveling to space. He predicted that human beings would not be able to survive the next 1,000 years without exploring space beyond earth. He encouraged people to show interest in space.

Other celebrities who signed up for the trip include Katy Perry, Brad Pitt-Angelia Jolie, Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio.
