Kristen Stewart is the new Coco Chanel. The “Twilight” beauty looks fashionable and chic in Karl Lagerfeld’s new mini movie, “Once and Forever,” where she stars as the house’s iconic founder, Coco Chanel.

In the 11-minute film directed by Lagerfeld, Stewart plays the role of a young Gabrielle Chanel. “She [Kristen] can look like Chanel, and I wanted to show Chanel through all the decades of her life and the comeback in the 1950’s,” Lagerfeld said about Stewart in a press release. The film also stars Geraldine Chaplin, who plays the role of the iconic designer in her later years.

In the film, the 25-year-old actress can be seen wearing Victorian era-inspired clothes, which have frilly white collars and puffed sleeves. Lagerfeld tries to project Chanel by depicting scenes from some behind-the-scenes film sets, costume tests, script meetings and everything that encompasses the era of the old school Hollywood.

"If I had made image after image of Chanel's past, it would be boring," Lagerfeld added, describing why he chose a different take on the fictional biopic.

Lagerfeld has high regards for Stewart as an actress and called her as “one of the greatest actors of her generation” in a separate interview with WWD. “She gives the right emotion and the right intensity immediately so it’s very easy to work her, like it’s easy to work with Geraldine,” he added.

Other actors in the film are Jérémie Elkaïm, François Marthouret, Amanda Harlech, Jamie Bochert, Jake Davies, Baptiste Giabiconi and Laura Brown.

“Once and Forever” will be released to coincide with Chanel's Métiers d'art collection presentation in Rome on Dec. 1.
