The late comedienne Joan Rivers' message, promoting the iPhone 6, briefly appeared on her Facebook account, taking everyone by surprise. The message praised the Apple device, calling it a "great achievement in design" and a "great product." It included a photo of the old iPhone, as well. The message was soon deleted.

TMZ was able to capture a screen grab of the message and has published the screen-shot on its site. Here is the complete message that was posted: "This badass is being replaced by an iPhone 6 (not the fat one). I got this one in 2010, and after 4 years, my only complaint is that apps are now designed for bigger screens, and the battery is getting tired. Never had a case for it, since it was most beautiful on its own. Great achievement in design. Great product. #apple #iPhone #tech"

Joan Rivers died on Sept. 04, 2014 at the age of 81. Apple launched iPhone 6 five days later, on Sept. 9, 2014. TMZ is reporting that the message may have been part of a "pre-negotiated deal" between the late comedienne and Apple.

Joan Rivers had suffered a cardiac arrest during a routine throat surgery at a clinic. She was rushed to a hospital in Manhattan and was reportedly put on medically induced coma and on life support. Melissa Rivers, the comedienne's only child, released a statement, informing about her mother's death on Sept. 04.

Recently, Melissa Rivers spoke for the first time since her mother's funeral. She posted a message, expressing her gratitude, on WhoSay post: "As my son Cooper and I mourn the loss of my mother, we want to thank everyone for the beautiful cards and flowers conveying heartfelt messages and condolences, which continue to arrive from around the world and through social media. My mother would have been overwhelmed by the scope and depth of the love that people have expressed for her."

"It is certainly helping to lift our spirits during this time. We are forever grateful for your kindness and support in continuing to honor my mother's legacy, and for remembering the joy and laughter that she brought to so many," Melissa Rivers added.

Meanwhile, LIttle, Brown and Company has said that a biography of Joan Rivers will be published in 2016.
