“Girl Meets World” star Rowan Blanchard (Riley Matthews) is set to return to the small screens since “Girl Meets Goodbye” was last aired. Fans will be delighted to know that the actress is set to appear on “The Goldbergs.” Her appearance on the show is sure to happen later this year.

The actress will play the role of Aliza, editor of William Penn Academy’s sci-fi/fantasy magazine. For Blanchard’s fans, it would be interesting to see her play a new character. She was previously seen as Caitlin in "Dance-A-Lot Robot," Rebecca in "Spy Kids: All the Time in the World," Raquel Pacheco in "Little in Common" and Riley in “Girl Meets World."

TVLine has reported that Blanchard was confirmed to appear in one episode of “The Goldbergs” season 4. Her appearance on the ABC show may happen in late winter or this spring in the US.

Although only one episode has been confirmed with Blanchard, it is possible that she will appear in more than one episode. That is if the audience of “The Goldbergs” responds well to her character.

Blanchard has also landed a role in a live-action film titled “A Wrinkle in Time.” The film is inspired by a 1963 novel by Madeleine L’Engle. It follows a young girl who is looking for her father. The film includes Storm Reid, Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling as well as Reese Witherspoon. Blanchard's role is still being kept under wraps.

The actress' co-stars in “Girl Meets World” will also be starring in new projects. Corey Fogelmanis (Farkle Minkus) is set to play at the award-winning off-Broadway production, “Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead.” Sabrina Carpenter (Maya) voices Candace on Disney XD's animated show, “Milo Murphy’s Law.”

Although Blanchard and other cast members of “Girl Meets World” are now busy with their respective projects, series creator Michael Jacobs said all the cast will be on board for a fourth season of the show. The experience the series has given to fans and crew has been great that the tendency would be to stay together if they could. “I believe everyone will be on board,” Jacobs told the Wrap.

Jacobs has assured fans that they are having talks with other networks for a possible “Girl Meets World” season 4. “Girl Meets World” aired in Australia through Disney Channel.

As for Blanchard, she has also been advocating for abortion. She posted recently a photo on Instagram, saying, “Women will always have abortions: They will either be safe and legal or unsafe and illegal.”
