Is Derek Hough working on a record of three wins in a row on "Dancing With the Stars" Season 18?

The DWTS professional dancers are currently waiting for the news on Season 18, which will premiere on Monday, March 17. But celebrities and pro partners are usually given a couple of weeks for the pre-show to rehearse and prepare and that is happening anytime now.

While Mark Ballas and Cheryl Burke have both expressed their plans of returning to the show, new Pro Dancer Sasha Farber has also shared she hopes to get a callback. Hough, 28, talked to TV Guide about his collaboration with Olympic Ice Dancers Charlie White and Meryl Davis and responded whether he will return to "Dancing With the Stars" for the next season.

"I have not decided yet," Hough said. "We are still working things out now. We will see. It is just making sure everything is in order. I am working on a book that is coming out in May entitled, 'Taking the Lead' and I have other projects going on."

Being a five-time "Dancing With the Stars" champion makes him the most successful dancer in the show's 17-season history. He has won DWTS seasons with partners Nicole Scherzinger, Brooke Burke, Kellie Pickler, Jennifer Grey and most recently with Amber Riley.

"There were a lot of reasons like scheduling, the show and other stuff," Derek continued. "But I really had to think about it because I was not sure I can do it."

He noted if he thinks he cannot do something, he just has to do it. This could mean he might just give DWTS Season 18 another shot.

It was also rumored Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli are leaving "Dancing With the Stars." None has been confirmed so far but it could mean that Inaba will be the only remaining judge with two slots to fill before the premiere. It was reported Julianne Hough could be a contender after filling in for Goodman in Season 17.

Spring 2013's Season 16 cast was announced on Feb. 26 and the 2014 cast could be revealed around the same time.
