Facebook Page Apology for Comments Made to Mock Corporal Ben Roberts-Smith on Live TV

Hosts of The Circle apologized for mocking Corporal Roberts-Smith while being interviewed at The Project last night. Yumi Stynes and George Negus expressed regret after they have disrespectfully commented on Roberts-Smith's picture showing him shirtless in a swimming pool.

The two hosts received a lot of criticisms from thousands of viewers after calling Roberts-Smith brainless. Yumi started saying that he's going to dive into the pool to look for his brain.

They both called the Australian hero to personally apologize for the rude comments.

Negus told The Project that Roberts-Smith did not expect an apology since he didn't think of the comments as malicious. He was a little shocked upon hearing it, but did not think it was intentional.

On last night's episode of The Project, Negus unintentionally called Roberts-Smith a colonel. Stynes, on the other hand, accepted her mistake and agreed that what she said was not cool.

However, despite the apology they gave to the public, many thought they are not sincere at saying sorry. A certain Facebook group posted a status saying Yumi's apology was not sincere.

Roberts-Smith has already issued a statement declaring that he had accepted the apologies and that he wanted to focus more on defending his country.

Other than that, he expressed gratitude for the Australian Defence Force personnel as well as the Australian public for the support he received.

Network 10 also expressed apologies on The Circle's Facebook page saying they respect the soldier and they're sorry for the comments that offended most of the people, who recognize him as a national hero.
