Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho revealed that he doesn't want to waste his time talking to national team managers amid rumoured spat with Spain overseer Vicente del Bosque, who fielded in Diego Costa despite questioned fitness.

The Spanish international missed his first Premier League match last Sunday against Crystal Palace after a prolific start that saw him find the back of the net nine times in seven outings.

"The only thing I can say is after Arsenal he went to national team, he played two big matches against Slovakia and Luxembourg, and become in condition where he's not able to play for this club," lamented Special One.

He added: "I don't speak with national team managers unless they want to speak with me. But me? I'm powerless. Because I know that, I don't waste my time contacting national teams."

"During my career, some of them - not many - used to contact me and ask me about the situation about our players, but many of them don't. When they decide to contact me, I'm open to speak with them. But it's never my initiative to speak with them."

"They have the power. We don't have the power. I don't have a suggestion."
