Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho stated that his side will not "cry" over injury woes, and will instead look for available options to fill the void.

Blues striker Diego Costa is recuperating from a hamstring discomfort that is believed to have been incurred while on international duty for Spain, while fellow front-liner Loic Remy was taken off just 16 minutes, due to a hurt groin, into the Champions League clash against Maribor on Tuesday.

Didier Drogba, who netted his first goal thru a penalty against the Slovenian outfit since his return to Stamford Bridge, is the only legitimate forward who can start against Manchester United in a Premier League fixture this coming weekend, while versatile attacker Andre Schurrle is seen as an alternative.

"I'm not worried. We don't cry on injuries," said the Portuguese.

"When a player is injured, play another one."

"It's our philosophy, we don't cry. We just think one injury means an opportunity for somebody else."

"We will prepare for the game [against Manchester United] Thursday, Friday, Saturday to try to be at our best possible level against an opponent which we respect very, very much."

Mourinho was pleased with Drogba's performance on the pitch, hinting that the 36-year-old might start against the Red Devils after finding renewed confidence.

"He was comfortable to play 75 minutes," he added.

"It was very, very important for Didier. The best thing for a player to improve his condition is to play."

"His last goal for Chelsea was the most important goal in the history of the club. So to be back and to score again at Stamford Bridge is nice for him."

Hosts United will look to bounce back following a dismal 2-2 draw at the Hawthorns against West Bromich Albion, while Chelsea will try to continuously dominate England's top-flight, winning all of their outings, except the match against Manchester City that resulted with an even 1-1 scoreline.
