Caroline Wozniacki has expressed earnest optimism about her tennis career in the future. Wozniacki, who currently ranks ninth in Women's Tennis Association (WTA) world rankings, has said that she anticipates that next tennis season and hopes to find more opportunities to showcase her skills in future matches.

Speaking ahead of the 2014 Toray Pan Pacific on Sept. 15, Wozniacki sing her own praises and said that she has still managed to remain ranked within the top 10 of the world rankings despite suffering tough losses and struggling in the second quarter of 2014.

In March 2014, Wozniacki had her career-low rank at the 18th place since 2010. Her defeat to Jelena Jankovic at the BNP Paribas Open (Indian Wells) was blamed for her lowest ranking.

"I've finished the year in the top 10 in the last six years, so I was never really gone," Wozniacki said.

According to the 24-year-old Dane, she is excited about the next season. "It's all about getting better." Wozniacki stated that she wants to keep improving and that she's looking on the bright side of things.

Recently, Wozniacki posted an inspirational quote about getting better. "Do the best you can until you know better, then when you know better, do better," she tweeted.

Wozniacki has never won a Grand Slam title since turning professional in 2005 at the age of 15. The farthest that Wozniazki has reached in a Grand Slam event was at the finals of 2009 US Open and the recently concluded 2014 US Open where she faced her pal Serena Williams. In 2011, Wozniacki has made it to the semifinals of the Australian Open, but lost to China's Li Na. At the 2010 Roland Garros, the 24-year-old Dane has reached the quarterfinals and lost to ensuing winner Italy's Francesca Schiavone. At the Wimbledon Championships, Wozniacki has reached the fourth round in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2014.

Wozniacki currently competes at the 2014 Toray Pan Pacific Open, where is seeded second. She won the title in 2010 after defeating Elena Dementieva. The winner of the this year's Pan Pacific will reportedly win $1 million prize money.
