The royal couple's new apartment seem to have a "cursed" history when it comes to the princesses who lived in it. Will Kate break the ill fate of Kensington Palace?

Now that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have picked Princess Margaret's former apartment in the London palace as their official residence, royal historians can't help but feel a tad afraid for Middleton because of its "cruel" history to its chatelaines.

In a report by the Daily Mail, it was revealed that Kensington Palace has a harsh history to the princesses and ladies who have lived there. The most recent royal who met a cruel fate was William's mother, Princess Diana, who was involved in a car accident during the time she was living opposite Lady Margaret's apartment in the palace.

After hosting dinners with celebrities such as The Beatles, Margaret, the Queen's younger sister, died in 2002, but that's not the only coincidence that's boiling inside the walls of this majestic residence.

"Sad, bad, or even mad" was the description given by the Lucy Worsley, the chief curator of the Historic Royal Palaces when describing what have become of the ladies who have resided in the palace. First off was Queen Anne, who was married to prince George of Denmark and had 17 failed pregnancies-with each one either died stillborn or of smallpox or never reached the age of 11. In short, she was not able to produce an heir.

Princess Caroline, known for her joyous personalities and luxurious galas, was also surprisingly struck with hernia and experienced a painful, slow death inside Kensington Palace. The "cruel history" goes on and on, and with this; could Kate Middleton survive the cursed walls of their new apartment?
