"The Focus Attentuation" is episode 5 of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 8. Penny, Amy and Bernadette are heading to Vegas in this episode. And, Sheldon, Howard, Raj and Leonard decide that they need to invent something great but the four friends end up procrastinating and doing nothing.

The preview of episode 5 says "these geniuses are out to create the next great invention." Leonard is seen telling his buddies that let's change the world and Sheldon says, "thinking caps on." But, the invention has to wait as the geniuses end up watching pigeon ping pong. According to the synopsis of "The Focus Attentuation: "The guys try to invent something cool, but only come up with new ways to procrastinate."

The leaked spoilers of episode 5 reveal that Sheldon feels that the girls have distracted them and thus they have not been able to invent anything great. The guys decide to devote the weekend to brainstorming so that they can come up with some great ideas. According to the spoilers, Leonard will be seen asking Penny if it is okay to cancel their Sunday brunch plan, as the guys have planned a brainstorming session.

Penny, Amy and Bernadette take off to Vegas. It is Amy and Bernadette who end up getting drunk, as Penny receives study material from her company and ends up studying in the hotel room. The synopsis of the episode says, "Amy and Bernadette accuse Penny of being a "buzzkill" after she gets an email from work during their Vegas weekend."

Amy and Bernadette want to go to a strip club, according to spoilers. They force Penny to come with them. At the club, Amy and Bernadette, who are drunk, are the trouble-makers. The spoilers reveal that Penny is sober.

Spoilers reveal that Howard, Raj, Sheldon and Leonard argue about random stuff such as "BTTF P2 timelines" and the "origin of the word wiener." Later at Leonard's lab, they come up with an idea of "medieval torture" to stop discussion on off-topics. This also does not work as they end up talking about the movie "Ghostbusters," according to the leaked spoilers.
