Till some weeks ago, she was the hot favourite to reach the finale and win the final red rose of "The Bachelor Australia" Season 2. Now, a week before the final two episodes, she has been eliminated. Blake Garvey sent Jessica home after she told him about her feelings. The three contestants remaining in the show are Sam, Louise and Lisa.

It was obvious in the last few episodes that Blake was unable to see a future with Jessica, as he was increasingly realising that substance was lacking in their bonding and a relationship cannot work alone on "incredible chemistry." He had started to feel that he had more connection with the other remaining girls, than Jessica. However, it was expected that she would be the top three girls, if not 'The Girl' of Season 2. Most of the viewers, including yours truly, thought that on Thursday night, Lisa will be the one saying good bye. It was not an easy decision for Blake and he shed some tears.

At the introduction ceremony, the smile of 24-year-old accounting student caught Blake's attention. The first single date card of the season arrived for Jessica. Blake has kissed a lot of girls on the show but Jessica is the first girl that he kissed on the show, and as Jessica said in that episode, it felt right. Also, Blake and Jessica kissed on a group date, breaking the unwritten rule of not kissing a girl on a group date. That group date kiss and also the two sticking to each other on other group dates made a lot of girls insecure and they felt that Blake had already made up his mind and he was falling for Jessica. On Wednesday night, the eliminated girls saw magic in Jessica and Blake's clippings and a majority of them thought that it is Jessica who will end up in a relationship with Blake.

Jessica was open about her feelings, she made real efforts to get close to Blake, invested her emotions and there was spark between the two. But, it looks like they were not enough to make Blake see a future with her. Now with Jessica gone, it is Sam or Louise's competition to win.

Some of the reactions on Twitter after the shocking exit of Jessica:

What guy takes a girl outside to beg for his love & then rejects her? Not a fan of Jess at all, but that was cruel. #TheBachelorAU #TeamSam

#TheBachelorAU I couldn't stand her fake acting. The lessons paid off for awhile but in the end she was only going to be the understudy!

Did not expect Jess to be going home... WTF?! But more disturbing, I didn't know I would be so into this?! #TheBachelorAU
