In "The Bachelor Australia" Season 2, the smooth-talking Blake Garvey knew all the right words to calm down a furious bachelorette or make another bachelorette feel very special. Now, Blake is unable to convince anyone when he says that he is also carrying a broken heart, as he had to say goodbye to many incredible women on the show.

In Season 2 Finale, Blake got down on his knee and asked Sam to marry him. Before proposing, he told Sam that he loves her. Blake's words at the time of the proposal gave the impression that he knew what he was doing and that he wanted Sam at his side always. What really made him switch off is something only he can answer, but his explanations have been vague. Blake has said that he still cares and loves his ex-fiancée but it is no longer the romantic kind of love.

According to Blake, there is a "combination of factors" that made him end the engagement. Yahoo News has quoted Blake as saying to Woman's Day, "Being back in reality, in a long-distance relationship, having unfiltered contact and really getting to know each other more. It highlighted that Sam is someone I absolutely love and care for but not in the way of a romantic partner. I realised there was a change over the six weeks -- the chemistry changed."

Sam has revealed that Blake switched off once the camera stopped rolling. They stayed in the same hotel room but did not consummate their relationship. Also, Blake made no effort to make the relationship work. Blake met Sam to tell her that he wants to end the engagement. Sam has said that she was sad and she cried a lot and then she was angry at Blake for proposing to her.

In his interview on "The Project," Blake said that his heart has been broken because he had to say goodbye to many incredible woman -- all of them. He added that it is going to take time to heal. "I've had my heart broken throughout this," he said to Carrie Bickmore.

Blake has said that he is not dating anyone at the moment. However, there are rumours swirling that this 31-year-old bachelor is likely in touch with one of the other bachelorettes from the show.
