It’s an Australia vs Australia rivalry as Kris George challenged Jeff Horn to a fight with the former saying that that the latter has never been tested in his career.

"I have a great respect for Jeff and what he has achieved in his short career," George said to philboxing.com. "However I sincerely believe he has never felt the power of a real puncher and his walk forward style may come unstuck if he gets hit properly.”

The 26-year-old George, who has seven wins in eight pro bouts with five knockouts, also thinks that Horn’s style fits his kind of boxing and a fight against him would produce “a very entertaining spectacle for Australian boxing.” Horn is undefeated in 12 fights with eight knockouts.

"Let's make it happen in 2016!" George added to challenge his compatriot.

Horn, who has the nickname “The Hornet”, is from Brisbane, Queensland while George, with the alias “The Silencer” is from Toowoomba, Queensland.

Horn is the better-known prospect with most Australian experts pegging him as the next world champion in the near future.

"I want to fight Jeff Horn and I firmly believe I can beat Jeff Horn,” George confidently declared in the article. "I'm always looking to fight the best and Jeff is one of the best if not the best out there at the moment.”

The 27-year old Horn, who holds the World Boxing Association Oceania super lightweight title, is the No. 1 ranked Australian in the welterweight division and has a scheduled fight at the Claudelands Arena in Hamilton in December later this year although his opponent has yet to be named.

Meanwhile, George is set to fight Heri Andriyanto of Indonesia at the Rumours International in Toowoomba, Queensland on Oct. 31.
