The iPad Air 3 will not be out anytime this year. Plus, there are also claims that iPad Mini 4 will also not feature any significant upgrades from its predecessor unit.

As reported by Tech Times, it would appear that Apple has been struggling to come up with some new products and features to keep their clientele interested. The report mentioned that the launch of the much awaited Apple Watch was relatively lackluster that only got lukewarm reception from avid Apple tech users.

Apparently, the Cupertino-based tech company had taken a huge hit when Taylor Swift questioned their payment policy for any of her music material that the company offered during Apple Music's three-month free trial for its music streaming services. Apple had reportedly tried its best to keep the issue quiet, and was compelled to capitulate as soon as the Swift's letter was published.

Also, Apple's live TV service was also launched late since the company was not able to immediately iron out the necessary contractual agreements with broadcast TV networks.

Moreover, Apple has also reportedly slowed down when it comes to the development of its tablet devices because its client market had started to lose interest in them. It was a relatively successful feat when the launch of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 managed to gain some interest from the company's consumers.

If the report from Tech Times do turn out to be true, then this year's iPad Air version - what would have been the iPad Air 3 - will have to be foregone. That said, this will be the first time that Apple is not going to cater to its annual launch of iPad Air tablets, which is something the tech giant has been doing since the product line was introduced.

Plus, the report also mentioned that the iPad Mini 4 will only be featuring very minor improvements from its predecessor tablet, the iPad Mini 3. Thankfully for those who are still hopeful that an Apple tablet will rise this year, there has been no word regarding the iPad Pro. This particular device is believed to be a 12.9-inch tablet that Apple is currently working on.
