Apple iPad Air Plus Release Date Rumours Surface, Will Be Powered A9 Processor And Sport 12.2-inch Display

It has been in the news since quite some time that Apple is working on a 12.2-inch iPad that was being referred to as iPad Pro. A new rumour coming from Macotakara.jp which has published a page that contains a blueprint of the large-sized tablet along with its blueprint from Japanese magazine called Mac Fan.

According to BGR, the Apple iPad Plus release date is going to fall between April and June in 2015. The size device would measure 305.31 x 220.8 x 87 mm. Going by the measurements of the iPad Plus, it seems that the device will be larger and thicker than the newly released iPad Air 2 which measures 240 x 169.5 x 6.1 mm

The Apple iPad Plus will be powered with the next generation, Apple A9 processor. BGR claims that the A9 processor may come to the Apple iPhone 6s or iPhone 7 and the iPad Air 3 in the coming year. The iPad Air Plus will feature 4 in-built speakers which will be present on the sides of the device in order to support stereo sound output no matter how you hold it.

GSMArena states that it sounds quite sensible that the Cupertino may roll out a larger iPad as the iPad Air 2 came with better features compared to the original Air but the iPad Mini 3 did not come out with significant improvements.

It further states that Apple has not been concentrating on its iPad tablet range as it is mainly focusing on iPhone 6 Plus. The reason behind it is that people prefer to larger iPhones than their iPads. GSMArena had revealed about it through a dedicated post by stating that the owners of iPhone 6 units spend very less time on their iPads.

GSMArena claims that if Apple rolls out a larger iPad, what will be the future of MacBook Air devices. Apple may go to the extent of merging MacBook Air and Pro as one product to make way for the iPad Air Plus.'
