Apple is said to be ‘investigating’ an issue causing the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to display faulty battery percentage data. The bug prevents the affected devices to update the battery percentage. This means that users will not get a fair idea on how much their phone batteries are juiced up.

“If you change the time on your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus manually or change time zones when traveling, you might notice that the battery percentage doesn't update,” as mentioned in the iSupport page.

For the time being, the company has also recommended a possible remedy to the problem. All affected users can restart their phones and check if the phone's clock sets itself automatically. The concerned iPhone 6s and 6s Plus owners can go to Settings > General > Date & Time to check the make the changes.

Apple promises to fix the issue. However, the company is yet to notify how much time it will take to come up with a solution. According to ARS Technica, a software update may bring in a permanent solution to the problem.

As reported by Apple Insider, affected iPhone owners have been complaining about this problem since last September. Members of the Apple Support Communities have raised issues including stagnant battery percentage of the iPhone 6s Plus.

Currently, Apple has released the iOS 9.3 to its public beta testers and developers. The new update will bring in quite a few new features to Apple iPad. The update will incorporate a ‘Night Shift’ mode which will enable the device to adjust the colours of the display screen according to the time of day. Moreover, the iOS 9.3 update will also bring new 3D-touch enabled shortcuts, improvements in Siri support for languages and introduce password protection and Touch ID support.
