The Galaxy Note 4, the Galaxy S5 LTE-A, the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S4 smartphones are all going to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update early in 2015. The news surfaced through a tweet from Seoul-based Reuter's reporter, Vincent Se Young Lee. However, Samsung has not officially confirmed the arrival of Android Lollipop for the aforementioned smartphones.

Android Origin states that according to the tweet from Vincent Se Young Lee,the latest Android build for the Note 4, the Galaxy S5 LTE-A, the Note 3 and the Galaxy S5 is expected to arrive in early 2015. However, he did not confirm any time frame when he mentioned 'in early 2015' in his tweet. Also, it is not known which countries are in line to receive he updates first.

On Dec 3, IBTimes had reported that the flagship smartphones like the Galaxy Note 4, the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition were spotted with beta edition of Android Lollipop. Latest Android updates are known to first arrive on Nexus devices followed by Google Play Edition devices. However, the Android 5.0 Lollipop has arrived for Galaxy S5 even before Galaxy S4 GPE could receive it.

Android 5.0 Lollipop for Samsung Galaxy S5 has already started in certain regions of Europe, particularly in Poland. It is rolled out for Galaxy S5 handset with model number SM-G900F. Users who have not received any notification on their devices will have to wait more as the update is slated to arrive in phases. The update will arrive soon to other Galaxy S5 owners worldwide.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop first arrived on the Google Nexus 6 and the Google Nexus 9 tablet. It is the first ever version of Android build to get released as developer preview edition before the arrival of the final edition. The Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the above listed Galaxy smartphones will come with their proprietary TouchWiz UI overlaid on top of it. According to Android Geeks, since the update is expected to get rolled out in phases, the some users will end up waiting more.
