American voters were beyond stunned when mentalist duo Thommy Ten and Amelie Van Tass of the Clairvoyants blew the minds of “America’s Got Talent” judges during their quarterfinals act.

Replaying the video of the Clairvoyant’s presentation won’t be enough to figure out how the couple from Vienna, Austria, controlled the minds of Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel during the second AGT live show Tuesday.

As of press time, the video of the Clairvoyant’s magic trick has been viewed 800,000 times since Aug. 2 when it was performed live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

In the presentation, Amelie guessed the precise colour and flavour of the jelly beans that Cowell and Klum have picked individually. Despite standing metres away from the AGT panel of judges, Amelie also figured out the exact number of jelly beans that Mel B had scooped – 22 pieces.

But the magic trick did not end yet as the Clairvoyants claimed to have deciphered – or better yet, dictated – the judges’ choices way before they made their picks. With a chalk board, the Clairvoyants showed how they have the judge’s minds figured out, including Mandel’s wish for a spicy chocolate-flavoured jelly bean.

Epic mistake

Just like the Clairvoyants’ video, the quarterfinals act of stuntmen Ryan Stock and AmberLynn went viral. As of posting, the stunt duo’s presentation was viewed 3.7 million times on AGT’s YouTube channel since Aug. 2.

But Ryan Stock and AmberLynn did not trend for the same reason as the Clairvoyants. At the end of their dangerous act, AmberLynn missed her target and instead fired a flaming arrow directly on Ryan Stock’s neck. What was supposed to be an epic finale turned out to be an epic mistake.

Fortunately, Ryan Stock walked away unscathed from the frightening mistake. But the stunt mishap had ended the duo’s aspiration for the US$1 million (AU$1.3 million) grand prize on “America’s Got Talent” season 11.

Following the second live show, the Clairvoyants are advancing to the AGT semifinals round together with magician Steven Brundage, juggler Viktor Kee, contortionist Sofie Dossi and singers Sal Valentinetti, Kadie Lynn and Calysta Bevier.

After the first AGT live show, Tape Face's act went viral, with 4.2 million views on YouTube since July 26. Tape Face will join stage comedianne Lori Mae Hernandez, Musicality choir group, magician Jon Dorenbos, stunt duo Deadly Games, and singers Jayna Brown and Laura Bretan on the AGT semifinals.

The next AGT live show will be aired on Aug. 23. Meanwhile, online auditions for "America's Got Talent" season 12 has commenced. (Click here for the related story)
