Adele announced her pregnancy last June, and now the singer is gearing up to give birth to her baby any day now.

The "Skyfall" singer announced that she is expecting her first baby with partner Simon Konecki last June. And with only a few days in waiting till she gives birth, Adele is said to be "laying low and resting."

A report said that the 24-year-old singer is "thrilled" to welcome her baby but is making the most of her freedom before she gives birth. A source told People magazine that Adele is resting to prepare for her labor. Adele shared her pregnancy news back in June through her blog, saying:

"I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx"

In the meantime, the singer made a big comeback in the music scene by singing the theme song for the new James Bond movie, "Skyfall." The singer just released the track on her website last Friday but explained the she was slightly hesitant in taking up the project. But after she read the movie script, the pressure wasn't at all too much and she started writing the lyrics for the song together with Paul Epworth.

Meanwhile, it wasn't only Adele who was gushing about singing the James Bond theme song. "Skyfall" star, Daniel Craig did an interview on a US TV show and babbled about the British singer.

"When Adele's name came up I just jumped at it, I just said, 'We have to get her.' I just thought that she has the voice and she's got the tone that we wanted," Craig said.

The "Skyfall" theme song marks Adele's first new song after her mega hit album "21" which was released on January 2011.
