Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Mi5 on Feb. 24 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016. For the past couple of months, leaked render of the Xiaomi Mi5 specs and features have surfaced online through images, videos, benchmark databases and even retailer listing.

The recently leaked launch presentation spotted by GizChina is probably the biggest render to date, reiterating almost all the previously speculated hardware specifications of the Xiaomi Mi5, except the battery and front facing camera unit.

The reportedly leaked launch presentation slides reveal that the Xiaomi Mi5 will come in two variants in terms of memory and storage. The first one will offer 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage and the other will have 64GB of in-built storage capacity with 4GB of RAM.

The presentation shows that the Xiaomi Mi5 will have a micro SD card slot for memory expansion. The smartphone will also support dual-SIM cards. However, the company is yet to confirm the information.

Both the smartphone variants will supposedly feature a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor paired with Adreno 530 GPU.

One of the slides of the reportedly leaked presentation displayed an image with a physical home button. The Xiaomi Mi5 is long being rumoured to house a fingerprint scanner. However, there is no mention of the same in the leaked presentation. The device measures 144.3 x 70.2 x 6.35mm.

The presentation slides also mentioned that the successor to the Xiaomi Mi4, the Mi5 will incorporate Type-C USB slot and USB 3.0 with Quick charge 3.0. The fast charging feature will help the device to get juiced up by 80 percent in 34 minutes.

The Mi5 will sport a 26-megapixel camera with phase detection auto-focus (PDAF) and a dual LED flash. In terms of connectivity the smartphone supports NFC, WiFi 802.11ad, USB 3.0 and GPS.

Previous rumours indicate that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will feature a massive 3,600 mAh battery to keep the lights on, as reported by GSM Arena. The leaked render does not throw any light on the Xiaomi Mi 5 price.
