Lorde and Alicia Keys have delighted their Australian fans as they performed during the 27th Australian Recording Industry Awards held at The Star Events Centre in Sydney.

The 17-year-old Kiwi singer sported a goth Wednesday with Addams-like look as she performed Team, her second single from her debut album Pure Heroine. Similarly, her performance was also goth-like 'as she jabbed her hands maniacally through a commanding rendition of Team,' according to the New Zealand Herald.

This perfomance, the article added, was "a reminder of how she is managing to outpace every other artist at the awards - by mixing uncommon charisma with a lyricism and melodic maturity that belies her 17 years of age."

After the awards, the singer, whose real name was Ella Yelich-O'Connor, posed for a series of fun shots with the night's big winner Harley Streten, also known as electronic music artist Flume.

Lorde's appearance in ARIA signaled her debut in Australian TV, with the awards night aired via Nine Network's GO Channel.

Meanwhile, the 14-time Grammy winner impressed the Aussie audience with the medley of her songs, "Girl on Fire" and "Brand New Me" while wearing a half-corset top and high-waisted trumpet skirt, both in black and white but with different prints. Topping off her onstage look was her side-shaved hair slicked upwards.

Keys sang the first song standing up in front of a keyboard, then sat on the piano seat beside her and played the next song.

She then reappeared onstage wearing a sleek black dress as she presented the Best Female Artist Award to Jessica Mauboy, who was ecstatic for receiving the award from her idol singer.

Prior to her onstage appearance, she arrived at the black carpet wearing a yellow cutout dress by Stella McCartney topped off with gold accessories.

The 'Empire State of Mind' singer is in town for the Australian leg of her "Girl on Fire" tour, which will kick off in Perth Dec. 5.
