Melissa Benoist is set to appear on screen with her real-life love partner, Blake Jenner, in the upcoming episodes of “Supergirl.” Benoist’s husband will reportedly portray the role of a possible love interest. However, there are some speculations that he may also be Cat Grant’s (Calista Flockhart) son.

Details about Jenner’s character in the superhero series are still scarce. However, according to TV Line, the 23-year-old will be playing the role of Adam Foster, who’s likely bound to stir some romantic relations with Kara Danvers a.k.a. Supergirl.

A synopsis about Jenner’s appearance on the series was also posted by TV Line. Adam is said to be someone very important to Cat Grant’s life. He is described as a “handsome stranger” that makes a surprising visit to National City and makes an unexpected connection with Kara.

Galactic News One teased that it’s possible for Adam to actually be Cat’s son with Joe Morgan, who in the comics was killed by Winslow Schott. According to the report, this would explain why Adam’s appearance in “Supergirl” would also test Kara’s relationship with Cat.

In “Supergirl,” Morgan’s death was reportedly mentioned by Jeremy Jordan in passing. Jordan plays the role of Winslow “Winn” Schott, but it’s still uncertain at this point if the series will follow the DC comic book storyline and turn Jordan into the villain “Toyman” who commits crimes.

It’s also a reunion of sorts for lead star Benoist and Jenner in the coming episodes of “Supergirl,” given that both previously appeared in the musical TV drama “Glee.” They portrayed the characters Marley and Ryder in the fourth season of “Glee,” who, despite having an on-and-off relationship, never ended up together.

Fans of the show were said to have been dismayed that their characters didn’t end up together at the end of the season. TV Line claimed it would be a reconciliation of sorts for both actors to appear in “Supergirl” and in a way would somehow rectify their breakup in “Glee.”

Jenner is expected to make multiple appearances as Adam Foster in “Supergirl.” Multiple episodes are said to be lined up for his character, and the first one is scheduled to be released in early 2016.
