This week sees the release of two highly anticipated “Final Fantasy” related pieces of software, as well as the launch of EA’s cops n’ robbers-themed shooter, “Battlefield Hardline.” In addition to the big hitters, PlayStation owners can take their pick from a selection of indies, obscure curios and classic titles.

The PlayStation Blog lists an impressive array of 11 titles headed to PS Vita, PS3 and PS4 this week. Headlining the charge is “Battlefield Hardline” from Visceral Games and EA. “Battlefield Hardline” sees players take on the roles of police officers and criminals, duking it out across wide open maps populated with vehicles, buildings and scenery ripe for destruction.

“Hardline” also offers an extensive single-player story campaign inspired by hard-boiled police dramas, starring a cadre of popular movie and TV actors in the lead roles. As previously reported, PlayStation fans will be pleased to know they get the best console version of the game; the PS4 version runs at 900p as opposed to the Xbox One’s 720p resolution.

Gamers looking for a different kind of action can check out “Final Fantasy Type-0 HD,” a PS4 port of the 2011 action RPG from director Hajime Tabata. “Final Fantasy Type-0 HD” tells the tale of four students from the magical academy of Vermillion Peristylium in the Dominion of Rubrum, defending their home against a malevolent invading force.

“Type-0 HD” has the distinction of being the first ever M-rated “Final Fantasy” game and presents a world much bleaker and harsher than previous entries in the series. The game also comes with a very special extra, a fully playable four-hour demo of the highly anticipated “Final Fantasy XV.” Gamers who buy “Type-0 HD” at retail will be given a code redeemable on the PlayStation store. Digital shoppers will be able to download the “Final Fantasy XV” demo for up to two months after purchasing “Type-0 HD.”

As noted by PlayStation Lifestyle, Sony’s Spring Fever 2015 promotion is still in full swing. This week’s release is top-down bullet-hell co-op shooter, “Jamestown+.” A remaster of the PC original, this new version features trophy support, three new characters, new levels, a remastered soundtrack and the post-release DLC, “The Gunpowder, Treason and Plot.”

PS3 and Vita owners are hardly left out in the cold. Indie puzzle game “Tennis in the Face,” a three-way cross-buy title sidescrolling shooter “Soldner-X 2:Final Prototype,” makes its way to Vita with cross-buy support. Meanwhile, old-school horror fans will be pleased to see From Software’s PSone horror classic, Echo Night, which is now available for download. The full list of titles includes:
