Noelle Reno Likens Death of Boyfriend Scot Young To Losing A ‘Best Friend’
Scot Young, a British property magnate fell to his death on Monday, Dec. 8. The tycoon was once counted as one of Britain's wealthiest man, but fell into bankruptcy after a failed business deal. Young suffered fatal injuries from the 60ft fall from his £3 million home. He fell on the iron railings.
His fiancée, Noelle Reno, has said that Young's significant loss of wealth had always troubled him. Reno is an American fashion designer and the reality TV star of Bravo's "Ladies of London." Mail Online has reported that she was upset and E Online has reported that she was distraught by the sudden death of her fiance whom she considered as her "best friend." The two have been engaged for the last five years.
It only a few months back that Young and Reno moved in together in the three-bedroom apartment. Mail Online has quoted a witnesses as saying that the scene was "horrific." Another witness claimed that before his fatal fall, he had seen Scot smoke by the window multiple times. The witness suspected that he might have fallen out of the window while smoking.
Young made his fortune brokering deals between wealthy British businessmen and Russian oligarchs. He was previously married to Michelle Young and had 2 children with her. The couple reportedly enjoyed an extravagant lifestyle -- travelling around the world in a private jet, owning multiple luxurious homes, driving luxury cars. They separated in 2006 and Young offered a settlement worth £300 million. But, the following year he claimed that he was bankrupt and can no longer pay the original settlement amount.
Young had to secure loans from a few of his friends, including retail tycoon Sir Philipp Green who reportedly lent him £80,000. Famous restaurateur Richard Caring also loaned £50,000 to help his financially troubled friend. However, Young's ex-wife reportedly accused the two men, with help from Simon Cowell and the late Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsky, of helping her ex-husband hide his assets. According to Mirror, Young allegedly made a phone call to some of his friends telling them about his situation. He supposedly felt safer in prison after he claimed to have owed a lot of money to "the wrong people."
According to E Online, foul play has been ruled out.
