Motorola’s Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones have caused quite a hype, as fans expect to see the smartphones get unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2017. Motorola had sent out invites for the MWC event in January though it did not mention what the company would be showing off at the event in Barcelona, Spain. Soon after, leaks surrounding the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus started gaining momentum and this led many to believe that Motorola would be unveiling these devices at the event.

According to BGR, a fresh leak from Cautella, Brazil, may have provided the first look at a real production model of the Moto G5 Plus. It also provides a complete list of specs for the device. A leakster, based out of Brazil, has claimed that this is the real deal, and no one’s complaining. The leaked image shows the Motorola Moto G5 Plus sporting a 5.2-inch Full HD Display, 2.0 GHz octa-core processor, 3,000 mAh battery with TurboPower, fingerprint scanner, NFC, a 12MP rapid focus camera and Motorola Experiences.

The last one is definitely the host of software features Motorola also included in previous phones, such as Moto Display, Moto Assist, Moto Actions and Moto Voice. Earlier leaks had suggested a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. Even though the spec sheet does not match with other leaks and reports, it has probably provided the best look at the next-generation Motorola Moto G5 Plus handset, which is expected to be a midrange smartphone. Motorola’s MWC 2017 event is on Feb. 26. Thus, fans do not have to wait long.

In late January, Moto G5’s full specs were also leaked online by a Brazilian tech news site. It found a Motorola model name, Moto G5 XT1672, in the database of a major retailer. The leak also revealed that the Moto G5 would be much less powerful than the Moto G5 Plus smartphone. According to Indian Express, the leak spotted by MotoG3 has shown the Moto G5 handset to be sporting a 5-inch full HD (1920×1080) display and a Snapdragon 430 processor. It also tipped a 2,800mAh battery, 32GB internal storage with microSD card slot, 2GB RAM, 13MP rear and 5MP front camera.

Both Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and both the phones have been spotted clearing FCC. Stay tuned on IBT AU for more updates on Motorola handsets.
