Microsoft Lumia 950 price slashed by $49
The Microsoft Lumia 950 is the newest flagship from the company. In the U.S., it is exclusively available through AT&T and Microsoft Store. AT&T is now selling the unlocked Lumia 950 with a discount of $49 (AU$67).
The usual price of AT&T Lumia 950 is $589 (AU$815). However, through the $49 discount, the price of the flagship has been reduced to $549 (AU$760) for a limited period of time, WM Power User reported.
Since there is a shortage in the smartphone supply, the existing stock of the Lumia 950 is expected to end soon. To take advantage of the $49 discount, buyers are required to make full payment of $549 at the time of purchase. The discount can be availed through the Microsoft Store.
The Lumia 950 comes preinstalled with Windows 10 Mobile OS. The handset was launched alongside Lumia 950 XL. The other handset that offers out-of-the-box Windows 10 Mobile experience is the budget-friendly Lumia 550 smartphone. All the other Lumia smartphones are currently running on Windows Phone 8.1 OS and are likely to get the Windows 10 Mobile OS upgrade in early 2016, Phone Arena reported.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 features a 5.2-inch display that supports Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It delivers a pixel count of 565 ppi.
The Snapdragon 808 chipset is present under the hood of the device. It features a 1.8 GHz hexa-core processor and Adreno 418 graphics. The SoC is supported by 3 GB of RAM.
The native storage available on the device is 32 GB and on its external storage, users can add a max of 200 GB. On its rear panel, there is a camera of 20 MP that is equipped with triple-LED flash and OIS. The front-facing camera is of 5 MP.
The Lumia 950 comes with a removable battery of 3,000 mAh capacity and the battery supports Qi Wireless charging.
