Move over Channing Tatum. The Sexiest Man Alive crown has a new head. Adam Levine, the lead vocalist of pop rock band Maroon 5, has been named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive. The 34-year-old, heavily tattooed hunk with a wonderful voice, couldn't be happier as he joins the league of Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

"As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn't really think that this was on the table," the singer told People magazine. "I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren't, so that's cool."

The year 2013 has been wonderful for the American singer as he got a chance to star in a movie "Can a Song Save Your Life?," with Keira Knightley, launched his own fashion line and also got engaged to the love of his life model Behati Prinsloo. Now being awarded the Sexiest Man Alive title is just a cherry on the cake!

"I didn't think marriage was for me for a long time. I was ready when I was ready. That's about as simple as it could possibly be," Levine said.

The announcement was first made on the sets of The Voice (where he is one of the Judges) by host Carson Daly.

"Your name has come up recently. Is he the guy? Are you the man?" Daly told a blushing Levine. "And I have it on good authority to announce... that you are People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive," he added.

The sexy hunk with a cute smile enjoys huge popularity on the show. He doesn't only have female fans but also has a co-judge Blake Shelton attracted towards his persona. Shelton admitted to having a crush on Adam.

"All I have to say is, it's true: I have a man crush on Adam," Shelton admitted.

"It blows me away people can pick up on that just by watching that on television. I want to kiss him. I want to kiss him so bad. I don't care if it's mutual or not. Can you honestly tell me that you don't have a little bit of a crush on Adam? He's sexy, is the word I'm using," Shelton added. Check Adam Levine out in his music video below.
