Kate Middleton has had a happy reunion with the midwife who helped her deliver Princess Charlotte. The Duchess of Cambridge, who is expecting her third child with Prince William, was visiting the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) on Tuesday when she bumped into Professor Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent.

And it was indeed a sweet meeting. When Kate saw Dunkley-Bent, she made a beeline for her, excitedly hugging the midwife. She exchanged a few greetings with her before continuing to follow RCOG President Lesley Regan.

According to Reuters, Dunkley-Bent was one of those who helped deliver Charlotte in 2015 at St Mary’s Hospital in London. Kate’s son, Prince George, was also born at the hospital two years earlier.

“It’s so great to see Jacqui as well,” the duchess told Regan at the end of her visit. Dunkley-Bent, the head of Maternity, Children & Young People at NHS England, was just as thrilled at Kate’s warm greeting.

“It was a surprise and an absolute pleasure to be reunited with Kate again today,” she is quoted by People as saying. “Supporting families at the birth of their baby – including future kings and queens – is hugely rewarding and we’re very grateful to have the Duchess of Cambridge’s support for the nursing profession.”

The RCOG was founded in 1929 and works in the UK and globally to set high quality standards for women’s healthcare. Kensington Palace announced that Kate would become the patron of RCOG ahead of her visit on Tuesday. She also later visited St Thomas’ Hospital in London to launch her three-year project, the Nursing Now campaign, which aims to raise the profile and status of nursing worldwide.

While at the hospital, Kate reportedly joked that William was “in denial” of the birth of their third child, whom they are expecting in April. “I was saying, ‘Congratulations, best of luck with the third one.’ She said, ‘William’s in denial,’” Jamie Parsons, the father of a 10-month-old patient said.
