Hoax Alert: Floyd Mayweather Didn’t Die Of Drug Overdose
American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr allegedly witnessed last week the murder of actress Stephanie Moseley in the hands of her jealous husband, rapper Earl Hayes, a close friend of the boxer.
On Monday, hoax news blogsite Despiera Tico, claimed that it was Mayweather himself who died of drug overdose. The satire news said the boxer was rushed to Cedars Sinai after he was found in his house unconscious on the sofa, and his body was allegedly "covered with large amounts of cocaine and many bottles of liquor."
The report further said that he was declared dead a few hours after he was rushed to the hospital. It even named a Leonard Walker, head of the medical centre, as attributing the boxer's death to a heart attack that damaged his brain.
The Dailypedia pointed out that the Despiera Tico article was a hoax. Besides the news being too good to be true, it pointed to the hoax story lacking a date when the champ allegedly died as another indicator that it is just a satire or, to say the least, an untruthful article.
But the best proof is Mayweather's appearance at a boxing event on Monday night, seen below in a YouTube clip.

Dailypedia added that Mayweather's detractors thought it was again another of Money May's numerous excuses not to push through with the dream match against Filipino champion Manny Pacquiao on May 2, 2015.
However, what is true is that despite the excitement generated by Money May's decision to dare Pacquiao to meet him on the ring, there are others who want the fight not to take place, according to Floyd Mayweather Sr.
The trainer and father of Money May identified them as Top Rank Promotions boss Bob Arum and Golden Boy Promotions chief Oscar de la Hoya whom he said will sabotage the May 2 date by arranging a fight between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Miguel Cotto also on May 2 and in Las Vegas.
The elder Mayweather said it was de la Hoya's doing business with Arum - whom the Mayweathers don't want to deal with - that cause the shakeup in Mayweather Promotions which previously was a partner of Golden Boy.
The drug overdose hoax was the second to hit Mayweather this week, although the first one was not morbid but funny since it involved Money May's alleged fear of Dionesia Pacquiao's "hex."
