"The Avengers" have finally arrived - on paper that is. The cast of the greatest superheroes on earth namely Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson looked roughed up and ready for action in the newest poster release of the much awaited action-packed film.

Marvel fans should start counting the days because the highly-anticipated film release of "The Avengers" directed by Joss Whedon will finally hit the big screen on May 4. Apart from the newly released poster showing the hunky faces of the main male leads and the single sultry femme fatale, Scarlett Johansson, a whole new trailer will be released by 12midnight today seeing as the super bowl trailer for the film wasn't enough for dedicated fans of these heroes.

With the newest poster out and about, what do the main leads have to say about it and the constant and not to mention - a lot of changes needed done on the film? "Iron Man's" main man, Robert Downey Jr. speaks up about it in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"Avengers has always been this kind of hovering [thing]. Is it really possible? I just think that it was an incredibly ambitious notion, and looking back at Marvel and their fledgling years, they always had a vision of this ... although not entirely accurately," said Downey.

While fans may have their say about the newly released poster, Cinema Blend has quite a lot to say about it which involves a lot of "photoshopping" specifically on Captain America's physique. Apart from the "subtle" changes made on the poster, the title of the film will also be changed in the UK according to Movie Line.

"The Avengers" will be released as "Avengers Assemble" in the UK so as to avoid confusion with the 1960's hit spy series film, "The Avengers." Though it would be just one word, it might be enough to cause a few fans to go berserk over the said change.

May is still a few months away so fans would be better off living on the super bowl trailer and the newest poster release of the film while they patiently wait for the all new trailer said to hit the web this Wednesday.
