After a mostly hit-or-miss season that was significantly better than the last, this week's episode of "Glee" brought in mixed reactions from fans and indifferent viewers alike.

With the threat of sectionals looming near and prodigal members Mercedes and Santana (temporarily) out of the picture, Rachel and Finn go on a mission to recruit "the full blond Bieber" Sam.

But it turns out that Sam has recruited a new nickname to augment their family's income by being a performer of the risqué kind.

Though his family thinks he works at a local Dairy Queen, a particular strain of body glitter leads the 2 leads of New Directions to an exotic dancer named White Chocolate-yes, it's Sam.

After getting permission from his folks to transfer back to McKinley (hold the logic police, he might be a minor on the show but this is Glee! No paperwork necessary to jump from school to school!), Sam rejoins New Directions to a happy and not-even-at-all-surprised choir mates.

But guess who he makes a bee line for? That's right, former short-lived paramour Mercedes.

Not even threats of new boyfriend, Shane, could sway ol' trouty mouth. Sam swears that he'll get her back which ensures that we're bound to see some more of Chord Overstreet's abs in future episodes.

The real debate here is just how excited are fans for this pairing to work out? With the couple's short dating life last season, how did fans react to this sudden comeback?

If you've been watching "Glee" since the beginning, you'll know that nothing is certain when it comes to couples.

The writers love nothing more than to mix and match these kids and watch the sparks fly. If the fans are to be believed, there's not been abundance in butterflies since Kurt and Blaine's Dalton flirting dance so this is a much welcomed development.
