"Devious Maids" Season 2 finale aired Sunday, July 13 on Lifetime. Executive producer Sabrina Wind answers some questions, but the rest remains a mystery to be unraveled in Season 3 - assuming there would be a third season.

Spoiler alert: This feature recaps the highlights of -- and contains huge spoilers on -- Devious Maids Season 2 finale. Read at your own risk.

In an interview with TVLine, Devious Maids executive producer Sabrina Wind dishes some juicy insider information on things viewers might have missed on Devious Maids Season 2 finale.

"(W)e had no intention of watching [Mark Deklin's Nicholas Deering] turn himself in on the finale," Ms Wind says, in an update related to former author-in-maid-disguise Marisol Suarez (Ana Ortiz). She is not shutting the Deering arc completely, so writers might find a way to keep him in Marisol's life in Devious Maids Season 3.

There is no official word yet on Devious Maids Season 3. Perhaps it is too soon to tell. The second season of the series got Lifetime's green light on Aug. 13, 2013, says this old Zap2It report.

Meanwhile, Zoila Diaz (Judy Reyes) is pregnant. Who is the father of Zoila's baby? Fans can only guess for now. Zoila got a little naughty and slept with both her ex-husband Pablo (Alex Fernandez) and current beau Javier (Ivan Hernandez). Devious Maids Season 3 has to air lest fans will not find out.

Zoila's baby daddy is a big deal. However, the biggest question amongst viewers of Devious Maids Season 2 finale was about the possibly fatal shooting after -- another big finale event - Rosie's wedding to Mr Spence.

Rosie Falta (Dania Ramirez) gets a happy ending with Mr Spence (Grant Show), but the happiness just couldn't last long enough. The devious writers wouldn't have it that way, especially in Devious Maids Season 2 finale. One, Ty (Gideon Glick) goes on a killing spree. Two, Rosie's first husband turns out to be alive.

"Rosie fully believes that he's dead," Wind tells TVLine, which also throws an important question: "(D)oes that mean Rosie's marriage to Spence is invalid?" Wind says, "we haven't gotten there yet."

So many questions need answers in Devious Maids Season 3. It is a shame if this popular guilty pleasure series fails to get a third season.

Back to the post-wedding madman shooting, Wind says the writers have this floating idea that everyone gets shot except for Rosie, as she is obviously needed to make the Ernesto storyline work. This implies nothing is solid yet, and this could potentially drive fans crazy if there is no Devious Maids Season 3.

If renewed, the Devious Maids Season 3 premiere could air on Lifetime sometime in the second quarter of 2015. Season 1 premiered on June 23, 2013. Season 2 kicked off on Apr. 20 this year.
