After the British football player was named as China's first international ambassador, he was invited for a five-day trip by the China Football Association.

David Beckham did some "Bend It Like Beckham" moves while he appeared in China to promote football. Over the weekend, the football player demonstrated some kicks for the Wuhan Football Club where he was all suited up.

After feeling some difficulties in moving, Beckham removed his jacket to be able to exhibit a kick but fell on his butt after he lost his footing. A few of the club members including Beckham himself giggled, but being the professional that he is, David got back up and laughed everything off.

"It's been great so far, you know, I've met a lot of great people, a lot of great fans. And it's very positive so I've been excited since I've been here," he shared on E! News about his trip to China.

The next day, he visited the Peking University and surprisingly lifted his shirt to reveal his hanzi or his Chinese character tattoo. But also not to be missed is his well sculpted abs.

In English translation, the tattoo reads, "Death and life have determined appointments. Riches and honor depend upon heaven." Beckham had his hanzi tattoo since 2008.

"I'm not a politician, so anything that has gone on in the past has nothing to do with me. It's as simple as that. I am not here to clear up anything. I am here to educate the children and give them a chance of becoming professional footballers," Beckham said as encouragement to those who aspire to be a professional football player like him someday.

"Just live your dreams, work hard. Have as much dedication as you can in life," the football player added.

Soccer as a sport has been inactive for China since the "match-fixing" scandal that was revealed in 2010.The incident has led to players, referees and officials to be jailed. Now, the country is slowly reviving the sport with the help of a famous international football player like Beckham.
