“Dancing With The Stars” Season 21 moved to the semi-finals with its Week 10 episode Monday. Only four couples vied for a place in the finals, which will be held on Nov. 23. The tension was palpable in the two-hour long episode as the pairs put their best foot forward to win the Mirrorball Trophy.

The couples did three routines on the semi-finals night. It included individual dances, dance-off challenge and trio dances. This time, Alek and Lindsay walked away with the highest score of the night.

The pair did a waltz routine and nailed it completely. Judges Julianne Hough, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba were impressed. Julianne said it was true dancing while Carrie told it was Alek’s best ever performance. Bruno said the dance was majestic and smooth like that of an eagle. They scored 30 out of 30 points.

Meanwhile, Carlos PenaVega and pro Witney Carson followed close behind with their contemporary dance. They scored a neat 28 points, with Bruno saying that the dance was like watching Tarzan.

Bindi and Derek did a salsa routine. Judge Bruno Tonilo called it “work of a genius,” while Carrie Ann Inaba added that it looked like a “professional contemporary dance company.” The duo got 27 out of 30 points for the night.

In the dance-off challenge, Nick and Sharna were pitted against Bindi and Derek. The pairs did the samba and Bind stole the show with her hip movements while Nick, who had stumbled initially, was back in full force. However, the extra three (bonus) points from the judges went to Bindi and Derek, Heavy reports.

In their individual routine, Nick and Sharna scored 24 out of 30 points with their tango routine.

Nick and Sharna, along with Peta Murgatroyd, performed a salsa routine. They also scored 30 points for their trio dance with Carrie Ann saying that “the Backstreet Boy is back.”

PenaVega and Carson along with Karina Smirnoff did a Charleston. The judges were impressed and they scored 29 points.

There were no eliminations this week, and all four couples moved to the finale, TV Line reports. Unfortunately, Tamar Braxton had to bow out of the competition in Week 9 due to her health problems, E Online reports. Meanwhile, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, who was forced to withdraw from DWTS due to a mini-stroke, is preparing for a performance along with her partner Tony Dovolani for the finale. The finals will consist of two episodes on Monday and Tuesday.

The scores from the semi-finals:

Irwin and Hough: 60

Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson: 60

Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold: 57

Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess: 54
