Chrissy Teigen Has No Excuse For Past Bullying Behavior

Model Chrissy Teigen is not done apologizing one month after she said sorry to Courtney Stodden for bullying the reality star on Twitter for years. After seemingly losing out on several business deals over her behavior, the 35-year-old is once again expressing her regret over the past.

On Monday, Teigen published an open letter on Medium to reflect on “a VERY humbling few weeks” following her resurfaced tweets trolling Stodden, who was 16 years old when the model suggested she take a “dirt nap.”

“Not a day, not a single moment has passed where I haven’t felt the crushing weight of regret for the things I’ve said in the past,” Teigen wrote.

“As you know, a bunch of my old awful (awful, awful) tweets resurfaced. I’m truly ashamed of them. As I look at them and understand the hurt they caused, I have to stop and wonder: How could I have done that?”

While Teigen acknowledged she has publicly apologized to one person, Stodden, she noted that there are other people who she has trolled in the past that deserve an apology.

“There is simply no excuse for my past horrible tweets. My targets didn’t deserve them. No one does. Many of them needed empathy, kindness, understanding, and support, not my meanness masquerading as a kind of casual, edgy humor.

“I was a troll, full stop. And I am so sorry."

Teigen’s letter comes amid backlash from fans that have called out the model for bullying other women in the spotlight like Lindsay Lohan and Farrah Abraham.

In her latest apology, Teigen refrained from naming any of the people she has bullied, but insisted that she was in the process of reaching out to her former targets privately. Teigen went on to ask fans for their patience rather than forgiveness as she works on improving herself.
