Burger King has beefed up its Whopper menu with a series of new offerings that cater to those that are looking for a spicy rendition of the sandwich or a plant-based option.

New on the plant-based part of the menu, starting on June 27, are the Impossible King and the Impossible Southwest Bacon Whopper.

The Impossible Southwest Bacon Whopper has a flame-grilled Impossible patty made from plants with avocado spread, bacon-seasoned tortilla strips, American cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and a creamy spicy sauce, all on a toasted sesame seed bun, Nation’s Restaurant News said.

The Impossible King has a flame-grilled Impossible patty made from plants that is topped with American cheese, onions, pickles, ketchup, and mustard, all on a toasted sesame seed bun, according to the news outlet.

The Impossible King is being offered as part of Burger King’s 2 for $6 Mix n’ Match deal that also includes the Quarter Pound King, Big King, Original Chicken Sandwich, and Big Fish.

Also new to the Burger King Whopper menu are three Southwest Bacon Whopper offerings that feature avocado spread, seasoned tortilla strips, bacon, and a creamy spicy sauce, QSR reported. The three sandwiches include the Southwest Bacon Whopper Jr., Southwest Bacon Whopper, and Double Southwest Bacon Whopper.

The Southwest Bacon Whopper Jr. has a flame-grilled beef patty with avocado spread, bacon, tortilla strips, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and a creamy spicy sauce on a toasted sesame seed bun, while the Southwest Bacon Whopper features ¼ lb. flame-grilled beef patty with the same ingredients, QSR said.

The Double Southwest Bacon Whopper has two ¼ lb. flame-grilled beef patties as well as the same ingredients as the Southwest Bacon Whopper Jr. and Southwest Bacon Whopper.

All three Whopper sandwiches can be ordered with an Impossible patty for a plant-based meal option.

Burger King is also offering its Royal Perks members avocado spread on its burgers, chicken sandwiches, and Impossible patties for $1 through the BK app and at BK.com.
