"The Big Bang Theory" won its fourth consecutive People's Choice Award on Wednesday, when the TV Show was given the award for 'Favourite Network TV Comedy.' The show also went on to win 'Favourite TV Show'. Jim Parsons who plays Sheldon Cooper on the show was awarded 'Favourite Comedic TV Actor'

The show has been nominated every year since 2010 under various categories, it won its first People's Choice Award in 2010, for ' Favourite TV Comedy.'

The Show has won 'Favourite TV Show' for the second consecutive year.

Though Jim Parsons had been nominated every year since 2010, for the category 'Favourite Comedic TV Actor', this will be his first People's Choice Award for the Show.

This year's awards bring the show's tally of People’s Choice Awards to 10, with 7 awards to the show, 2 for Kaley Cuoco and 1 for Jim Parsons.

"The Big Bang Theory" is an American situation comedy created, produced, and written by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady.The show is primarily centered on five characters Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Raj (Kunal Nayyar), Howard (Simon Helberg) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco). The geekiness and intellect of the four guys is contrasted for comic effect with Penny's social skills and common sense.
