Arsenal attacker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain stressed that it is essential for the Gunners to match an opponent's physicality when the need calls for it.

While flair is not a question for the north London outfit, they have been viewed as lacking the imposing presence in the defensive department, which sometimes cost them dearly. During their first match against Stoke City in the Premier League, the said weakness was exposed. Nevertheless, they have since changed their mindset.

"Sometimes you have to roll your sleeves up, be physical and win the duels," said Oxlade-Chamberlain.

"I definitely think away at Stoke, we lacked that and that's why we came out of that game with a loss. That's always at the back of your mind."

"We need to take this approach in every game because once we match teams physically and defending-wise, it gives us a good chance."

"We know in our team we have got the quality going forward to cause damage. So it is always important to make sure we match teams physically and do the dirty stuff as well."

Arsenal dominated the Potters with three goals on Sunday, while showing that they are capable of putting an equally impressive display on defense by keeping a clean sheet.
