Stephen Amell’s wrestling rival with the stage name Stardust is set for a cameo appearance in “Arrow” Season 5. Details about the new character, including the name, have not been revealed yet.

[Spoiler alert]

After months of playing up their rivalry, Amell (Oliver Queen) and Cody Rhodes, who goes by the name Stardust, will be going toe to toe in Star City, Amell confirmed at the Heroes & Villains FanFest, SuperheroHype reports.

The report points out that Amell and Rhodes first started exchanging blows on Twitter, and that resulted in the actor putting on his superhero costume from the TV series for a wrestling match with Rhodes. The match managed to win WWE’s Slammy Award for Best Celebrity Moment of the Year.

“You can probably expect Stephen and I to get into another fight,” Rhodes teased about his role in the TV series. The actor, however, has not been cast in a recurring role, and the possible fight between the two may only be limited to one episode.

New characters will be joining “Arrow” Season 5. The confirmed characters so far are Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), Vigilante (Josh Segarra) and the Black Canary impersonator from the previous season will now appear as Artemis (Madison McLaughli). The main villain this time around is a character called Tobias Church (Chad L. Coleman).

After the death of Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) and Felicity’s (Emily Bett Rickards) interest in going on her own, there will be changes in the hero team. Oliver is expected to lead the new heroes in their fight against crime in Star City.

Filming of “Arrow” Season 5 is set to begin soon. The show will premiere on Oct. 5. Familiar characters like John Diggle (David Ramsey), Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), Thea Queen (Willa Holland) and Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) will return.
