Drake and Serena Williams made huge waves when they were spotted at a fancy Italian restaurant in Cincinnati in August. The Canadian rapper/actor and tennis superstar were seen making out inside the venue.

TMZ featured a photo of Serena and Drake getting cozy with each other. But, what’s all the fuss about? Can’t two single people with successful careers be in a romantically successful relationship, too? Here are five reasons why a Drake-Serena romance could actually work.

1. They are both good at (some form of) tennis

Serena Williams is currently the top female tennis player in the world with a wide array of titles under her belt acquired over the past decade. USA Today reports that Drake is actually good at table tennis. He previously showcased his swatting skills on a ping-pong table. He is also an avid fan of Serena and is often seen watching her recent games from the sidelines.

2. Drake’s attraction has not dwindled even after so many years.

E! Online reveals that Drake actually showed that he was attracted to the tennis star way back in 2011. This means that he may not merely be infatuated with Serena.

3. Drake included Serena in his song “Worst Behavior.”

It takes a lot of love and admiration for the Canadian rapper to include a name in his songs. Serena must really be one special girl in Drake’s life at the moment. In the song, he mentioned that he could take on the tennis player if she were playing left handed. Considering Serena’s dominance on the court, it is still unlikely that Drake could beat her in a handicap match.

4. Serena’s friends approve of Drake.

E! Online also reveals that people around the two are actually very supportive of their relationship. They were joined by six other friends when they were spotted making out at the Cincinnati restaurant. A friend reportedly said that the two are very much into each other at the moment. Serena is said to be a fan of Drake’s music, while Drake is a huge tennis fan, so they actually have a lot in common to begin with.

5. They are both in peak form.

Drake is currently one of the most popular rappers in the world, while Serena is the most dominant female tennis player. With the two enjoying the height of their careers, they could become Hollywood’s next power couple.
