ZTE Corporation recently announced its partnership with Rightware Kanzi UI Solution in order to release a Android 4.0 or Android ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) smartphones sthat would utilized 3D user interface (UI) technologies.

ZTE is considered as the fourth larget smartphone manufacturer in the world according to the report for last Q4 of 2011. According to reports, ZTE has a global market share of 4.9%. This new feature for their Android 4.0 smartphones is the company's latest strategy to advance in the smartphone market. Jichao Li, the Vice President for ZTE Corporation released a statement addressing this newest business venture of the company stating that:

"ZTE is committed to providing customers around the world with innovative technologies, and our latest smartphone portfolio includes highly differentiated and engaging 3D Android 4.0 ICS smartphones targeted for consumers globally. With help of Rightware and Kanzi UI Solution our latest smartphones are equipped with first-class 3D homescreen, providing consumers the best user experiences delivered on mobile devices."

In order to provide the 3D feature for their Android 4.0 devices, ZTE partnered up with Kanzi UI Solution. This company is known for creating 3D-related features such as Autodesk 3DS Max, Maya and XSI and Blender. Tero Sarkkinen, CEO of Rightware also commented about this partnership. Here are his thoughts about this:

Our designers and engineers worked together with ZTE's team and the results of this cooperation now boost ZTE in competing for the pole position in the global smartphone rally. Their latest Android smartphones powered with Kanzi 3D user interfaces significantly raise the bar for the competition."

ZTE has not yet announced the official release date for these smartphones but the inclusion of 3D technology would certainly put an edge towards ZTE's standing in the smartphone market.
