It’s still a few days before the “X Factor Australia” 2016 grand finals, but underdog Vlado Saric appears to consistently win the hearts of Aussie music fans.

Music streaming service Spotify has announced that the 17-year-old crooner from The Shire in Sydney’s South is the most streamed artist of this season to date. Spotify based this on the top 12 finalists’ live performances, which are made available on the site’s platform after each episode.

Vlado, who has consistently led Spotify as his mentor Mel B likes to brag, also produced the top streamed track of “X Factor Australia” 2016 with his rendition of “Closer” by The Chainsmokers during the competition’s first week.

While obviously a crowd favourite, Vlado landed in the bottom two with fellow underdogs Beatz in the previous live decider . After receiving low votes from Aussie viewers, the ladies’ man had to go head-to-head with the female trio in a showdown. After Vlado’s performance of Major Lazer’s “Cold Water” and Beatz’s rendition of “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child, judges Adam Lambert, Iggy Azalea and Guy Sebastian unanimously chose to save Vlado. He joins other contestants Isaiah Firebrace, Amalia Foy and Davey Foder in the four-way battle in the grand finals.

According to Spotify, Isaiah comes in as the second most listened to “X Factor Australia” 2016 act, with his performance of “ Lay It All On Me ” by Rudimental feat. Ed Sheeran. Amalia Foy and Davey Woder rank fourth and fifth, respectively. Surprisingly, brother-sister duo Brentwood made it to the third spot, despite their emotional exit on week three.
