“X Factor” Australia judge Iggy Azalea is determined to be the first mentor to have a winning group, which is why she felt extra pressure from the latest round of audition.

On episode 8 of season 8, Iggy put the groups under the mighty three seat challenge. Having already narrowed down her category through the a capella challenge, Iggy combed through the remaining groups with the help of the other “X Factor” Australia judges, Adam Lambert and Guy Sebastian. Whoever Iggy doesn’t choose can be snapped by underdog judge Mel B.

In the end, Iggy named her top three: duo Brentwood, girl group Montage and boyband Time and Place. On the other hand, she sent home groups Beatz, Fifth Element, Aroza and FD3. The Dennis Sisters also failed to grab a seat from Iggy, despite bringing Guy to tears with a Vance Joey song. Guy, however, advised Iggy that she should separate the emotions from the performance. With that, Iggy made her decision and ended the group’s “X Factor” journey.

Brother and sister duo Brentwood managed to impress the Australian rapper with their soothing rendition of “Lush Life” by Zara Larsson. Fans would remember that they got a standing ovation from the judges at their audition, which made the next round even tougher. Guy told them that they made him giggle “in a good way” with their unique voice. Adam disagreed, saying that it didn’t feel cool for him and commented that the song “got the lounge treatment.” Earlier, Iggy told the duo to kill the audition and it looked like they did – she gave them a seat.

Iggy’s new boyband, Time and Place, tried to redeem themselves with their performance of “You Don’t Know Love” by Olly Murs. The four boys – Sami, Sheldon, Leon and Matt – were all cut by Adam earlier and Iggy decided to combine them in a group. Adam stood by his earlier decision, saying that individually they weren’t bringing enough. However, he’s glad that Iggy put them in a group because they became stronger, though their harmonies could be tighter. Guy disagreed, claiming that they need a lot of work. Iggy decided to swap Time and Place with step sisters, Indienella, who sang “Don’t Worry About Me” by Frances.

Girl group Montage was the last group to take the stage, and with all the seats taken, they needed to deliver the performance of their lives. It appeared that the female trio – formerly known as Chai – were able to “move mountains” with their sassy rendition of “Break Free” by Arianna Grande. Adam reckoned that their harmonies were a little pitchy and not as polished as their biggest competitor, Beatz. Guy, however, commented that they are “beast singers,” and even feeling bad for Iggy because she already has a similar group already. After mulling it over for the longest time, Montage managed to bump off Beatz, who earlier won a seat with Meghan Trainor’s “Me Too.”
