Britney Spears is opening up about a painful cosmetic procedure gone wrong, revealing in an Instagram video posted Friday that a botched Botox injection left her left eyelid drooping for weeks, while also sharing an emotional message about guilt she carries as a mother.

In the video, Spears, 44, pointed to the area around her left eye and described what happened during the procedure. "He put so much Botox in this left eye that it drooped down like that," she said, pressing down on her eyelid to demonstrate the effect, according to Yahoo Style Canada. "It's just now starting to raise up and be normal again."

Spears said the drooping lasted roughly a month before beginning to resolve.
