"Sherlock" actor Benedict Cumberbatch is a complete entertainer. He often ends up surprising the audience and his millions of fans, with his unexpected, amusing antics. At Oscar 2014, the actor photobombed U2 & Co at the red carpet. And, this year at Golden Globes, Cumberbatch repeated his goofy act, as he photobombed Meryl Streep and Margaret Cho.

On Sunday night, Jan. 11 2014, the hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler introduced Cho, who was sitting in the audience wearing the uniform of a North Korean army general, as the newest member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). Fey said that Cho is a contributor to the mock-magazine "Movies Wow" and a North Korean army general. A silent Cho indicated that she would like to have her picture taken with Streep, who was sitting in a chair beside her.

Cumberbatch, who was sitting at a table behind Streep and Cho, with his fiancée, Sophie Hunter, was seen smiling when Cho was introduced and when she demanded that her picture be taken with the veteran actress. Cho's appearance as a North Korean general was part of a running gag that made fun of "The Interview" controversy.

"Birdman" actor Michael Keaton stepped up to take the picture of Streep and Cho, with his phone. Benedict, however, soon upstaged the two actresses when he leaped from his seat behind them, with his hands up. It was not a perfect leap but Cumberbatch's goofy act became an instant hit on social media. The actor has not yet blamed anyone for his act.

Speaking about why he photo-bombed U2 at Oscars, Cumberbatch told Time Out magazine, last year, as quoted by Radio Times, "Yes, I photobombed U2! But that was all Ellen DeGeneres' fault because she plied everyone with vodka on the red carpet."

Cumberbatch arrived at the Golden Globes with his pregnant fiancée. Last year, the actor took the traditional route of informing about his engagement. He posted a classified ad in a newspaper, announcing his engagement to Hunter. Recently, Cumberbatch's rep confirmed that Cumberbatch and Hunter are expecting their first child. ET quoted the actor's rep as saying, "They are both over the moon."
