Tim Tebow landed himself a TV job as one of the analysts for college football on ESPN. Tebow was officially hired on Dec 30, but he made his first appearance on national TV during the 2014 BCS National Championship Game on Jan 6.

Tebow was thrilled for his new job but revealed that he is not giving up on his dream of playing quarterback in the National Football League (NFL).

"I am so excited that ESPN has given me this incredible opportunity," Tebow wrote on Twitter. "When I was six years old, I fell in love with the game of football and while I continue to pursue my dream of playing quarterback in the NFL, this is an amazing opportunity to be a part of the unparalleled passion of college football and the SEC," Tebow added.

Tebow began his NFL career in 2010 when he was drafted by the Denver Broncos during the first round draft. He reportedly signed a 5-year contract with the Broncos with $8.7 million money guaranteed, but he was traded to the New York Jets in March 2012. Then, after over a year with the Jets, Tebow was let go in April 2013. The last team that Tebow would play for in the NFL is the New England Patriots. The Patriots signed him almost two months later when he was released by the Jets. The Patriots offered Tebow a two-year contract with no guaranteed money, but the former Heisman Trophy winner still willingly accepted the deal mainly because of his love for the sport. His NFL career continued to plummet when he was released by the Patriots in August 2013. It was the time when the NFL teams were ordered to cut their players lineup to 53.

After the Patriots let Tebow go, he expressed his gratitude towards the team and said that he will never give up on his football dream. "I will remain in relentless pursuit of continuing my lifelong dream of being an NFL quarterback," said Tebow.

Tebow's job with ESPN, apparently, has an 'out clause'. In any case that a football team wants to get Tebow on board, the contract will let him leave and follow his quarterback dream.

Tebow has made the right decision, at least for the time being. Don't you think? He can make use of his football IQ while waiting for the next opportunity to come so he can return to competitive and professional football action.
