Episode 12 of Season 2 of “The Strain” will have Eph (Corey Stoll) and Nora (Mia Maestro) questioning their relationship. Meanwhile, Gus (Miguel Gomez) and Silver Angel (Joaquin Cosío) will team up with Quinlan and some unusual group of vampire hunters to take down The Master.

The synopsis for episode 12, titled “Fallen Light,” from TV Guide reveals Nora and Eph will be in for some heartache as they come to a crossroad in their relationship. All throughout the episodes of “The Strain,” even from Season 1, Nora has always been faithful to Eph. She has always proven that she will always be there for him no matter what. She has never looked at another guy the way she looked at Eph, with admiration and love.

However, Eph has never been faithful in their relationship. In episode 6 titled “Identity,” Eph goes to Washington and has a sexual encounter with a woman who was supposed to help him distribute the cure that stops people from turning intro strigois. Eph left that story out when he returned to Red Hook and told Nora why he had a gunshot wound on his body.

The synopsis for “Fallen Light” likewise mentioned about Eph having to choose between his son Zach’s (Max Charles) safety over the security of the people in New York. Zach’s life will be in danger after his mother, Kelly (Natalie Brown), vowed that she will not stop until she turns him into a strigoi.

Episode 9 in season 2 of “The Strain” showed how Kelly is determined to get her son away from Eph. She tried to take him away twice: first, during “The Battle for Red Hook,” but she failed after she was shot by Fet (Kevin Durand); the second was in episode 8, when she managed to locate Zach and enter the group’s hideout.

Meanwhile, episode 11 in Season 2 of “The Strain,” titled “Dead End,” ended with Gus and Silver Angel meeting up with Quinlan’s (Rupert Penry-Jones) assistant after they have taken the Guptas safely out of the border. The synopsis from TV Guide mentioned the pair teaming up with an unusual group of Sun-hunters in their battle against The Master. The teaser below for episode 12 of “The Strain” also shows Gus convincing a group of men to work with Quinlan since “he knows how to win” against The Master and his men.
