Each freak in the Season 4 of "American Horror Story" has a dark story to tell. The episode 3 revealed the painful story of Ethel Darling's past. The episode 4, which is scheduled to air this Wednesday, is going to reveal the "grisly" tale of Elsa Mars' life in Germany. The episode 4 is also going to feature Twisty the Clown's story of origin. Also, the upcoming episodes are going to show the human side of this terrifying clown.

At the moment, "humanity" is the word that cannot be associated with Twisty the Clown. In the premiere episode, he stabbed three people to death and abducted a young boy and a girl. He killed someone in the toy-shop in the next episode. The second episode also revealed that Twisty does not have a jaw and he is hiding that behind the mask that covers half of his face. In the last episode, he abducted the elder brother of a little girl, who fears the clowns, and dragged him to his hideout in the woods. But, in the upcoming episodes, the viewers are likely to see a softer side of the scary clown.

In an interview to Los Angeles Times, Finn Wittrock, who plays Dandy in the show, has said that as the episodes unfold, the viewers will see "a lot more about Twisty's humanity." The twisted character of Dandy is set to become Twisty's apprentice.

John Carroll Lynch, who plays Twisty, has said to Los Angeles times that it is "fun to be a bad guy." He also said, "... I really like that Ryan [Ryan Murphy, co-creator of "American Horror Story] and the writers have provided not only a really terrific, scary character, but also they provided a lot of humanity that you'll learn about as the season progresses."

Muphy has told Entertainment Weekly that episode 4 is going to feature the "complete origin story of Twisty: where he started from, how he became who he is, why is he doing what he's doing." According to the co-creator, everything is explained in this episode. He also said that the terrifying clown has an "entire 15 minute act by himself where we take you back 40 years in the life of that character."

The Episode 4 of "American Horror Story-Freak Show" is the second part of the Halloween episode, Edward Mordrake.
