The Royal Melbourne Show (Sept 21-Oct 2) is Victoris'a biggest yearly community event which features the very best of local entertainment, agriculture, attractions and food.

The Royal Melbourne Show is presented by the Royal Agriculture Society of Victoria (RASV). The main highlight of the show, which happens at Melbourne Showgrounds, is the agricultural animals from cows, sheep, goats, dogs and horses. These animals compete for the most desirable Royal Melbourne blue ribbon award.

Those who are attending the show can also taste the best Victorian produces and can also attend classes from industry masters.

Celebrity Appearances

The X-Factor Live, Australia’s Got Talent, MasterChef Kitchen

For this year's celebrity appearances, contestants from the Australia's Got Talent will be performing live at the Commonwealth Bank Entertainment Dome at 2:15 pm on Monday, Sept 23. After the show, there will be a photo opportunity with the contestants outside the venue.

Stars Lincoln, Lynne, Nic and Philippa of Seven's hit drama Home and Away will also be gracing The Royal Melbourne Show at the Commonwealth Bank Entertainment Dome on Sunday, Sep 22, at 2:45 pm. They will entertain all questions live on stage. At 3:30 pm, fans can have a photo opportunity outside the venue.

Another interesting event to look forward to at the show is the MasterChef Kitchen opening its doors to the public for the first time. Samira El Khafir (Season 5) will be welcoming guests on Sept 21-26 from 12 noon-4 pm, Emma Dean (Season 5) on Sept 27 from 10 am-2 pm and Alice Zaslavsky (Season 4) on Sept 27 from 12 noon-4 pm.

The MasterChef Kitchen can be visited daily from 9:30 am-6 pm, next to the Animal Nursery.

The Yo Gabba-Gabba! will have an exclusive stage show at 10:30 am and 1:00 pm daily at the Commonwealth Bank Entertainment Dome, and the audience could have photos taken with their favourite cartoon characters between 11:30 am and 12 noon daily, outside the Commonwealth Bank Entertainment Dome.

The Looney Tunes Classroom Capers will also have a meet-and-greet session at 11:20 am and 1:50 pm daily at the Commonwealth Bank Entertainment Dome. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety and Sylvester will be available for a photo opportunity daily from 12:30 pm-1 pm.

The Mitsubishi Car

An official announcement from The Royal Melbourne Show said that Mitsubishi will be giving a brand new Mirage. Anyone who is interested will simply have to guess how many Showbags are in the Mirage for a chance to win the car. The Mitsubishi car competition is open to all Show visitors. The PAX number should be entered on site or on Facebook.

A little exciting trivia on the Showbags: Berti Beetle special anniversary Showbag has 50 Bertie Beetle chocolates. As a way of celebrating their anniversary, Bertie Beetle Egg Cup will make a comeback at The Royal Melbourne Show.
